Housing, scholarships and mobility assistance through CROUS
Students can still apply for grants and/or housing by creating their student social file (DSE ) directly on the government's My Student Services website.
The deadline for submitting and modifying housing applications is 08/31/2024.
Baccalauréat holders in receipt of a lycée scholarship who have definitively accepted an offer of admission outside their academy of residence can benefit from Parcoursup mobility aid worth €500. Applicants concerned can apply online via the etudiant.gouv.fr portal from July 8, 2024.
After the online application, the file will be processed once the administrative registration has been completed at the institution. The first payments will be made at the beginning of September.
An FAQ on the DSE is available for high school students, as is a file on all the steps to take to prepare for the start of the new academic year on etudiant.gouv.fr.

CROUS offers affordable student accommodation and rooms. These accommodations are often in university halls of residence. The advantage is that you'll be living close to your school's campus. Please note that students must first set up a dossier social étudiant (DSE) between January 15 and May 31 on the Mes services étudiant website, then click on "Trouver un logement".
The Crous provides accommodation for students with and without grants, subject to availability.

Aix-Marseille Université has set up a platform to help you find accommodation. Numerous offers from private landlords, student residences and real estate agencies around the campuses are grouped together on this housing platform, which is updated daily. A multilingual support team is on hand to help you find and book your accommodation.
Log in with your University intranet login by clicking on "Student Login" and then on "Log in with Intramu".

Finding accommodation with Réseau Polytech and ImmoJeune
The Polytech network has signed a partnership agreement with the ImmoJeune group to provide housing rental ads for Polytech students. Visale system (ex. Clé - Caution Locative Etudiante Lokaviz )
Action Logement's new Visale scheme replaces the former Clé assistance from Crous, but does not take on the role of home insurance, which is compulsory for all accommodation. The Visale scheme is a guarantee service for students under 30, with or without grants. This free guarantee covers the landlord for unpaid rent for 3 years of the lease, up to a maximum of €1,200 including charges. This "guarantor" is mandatory for most property rentals, and must be provided when the rental management file is drawn up(example file). The file has been entirely dematerialized, from application to receipt, to facilitate processing time (2 working days). Good to know: you need to take these steps before you sign your rental lease. Once you've signed it, don't forget to take the usual steps to open your EDF, gas, water and internet connections, so that everything is up and running.

Exceptional assistance from CROUS
To help students cope with the difficulties they face, the Crous d'Aix-Marseille and the government have set up a new range of exceptional grants available on the Crous d'Aix-Marseille website. You'll find assistance for everyday needs such as housing and transport, as well as help with taking your driving test. For the latter, you can find out how to take your driving test and revise for the exam, with documents available free of charge in university libraries.
Please note: due to problems with fraud, you will under no circumstances be asked to pay application fees via the Internet or by credit card. If you notice any problems with your bank card after paying at a payment terminal, please consult the Perceval government website to find out what steps to take.

Le CROUS
- Pour faire face aux difficultés des étudiants, le Crous et le gouvernement ont mis en place de nouvelles aides exceptionnelles disponibles sur le site du Crous d'Aix-Marseille. Vous y retrouverez des aides à la vie courante comme pour le logement ou le transport mais aussi des aides pour votre passage de permis de conduire. A savoir que pour ce dernier, vous pouvez vous renseigner sur les démarches pour passer votre code et réviser l'examen avec des documents à disposition gratuitement dans les bibliothèques universitaires.
A savoir sur les demandes d'aides : Suite à des problèmes de fraude il est bon de savoir qu'il ne vous sera en aucun cas demandé de régler des frais de dossier via internet et votre carte bancaire. Si vous remarquez des soucis avec votre carte bancaire après un règlement sur un terminal de paiement consulter le site de l’État Perceval pour trouver les étapes à suivre.
- Les bacheliers bénéficiaires de la bourse de lycée qui ont accepté définitivement une proposition d’admission en dehors de leur académie de résidence peuvent bénéficier de l’aide à la mobilité Parcoursup d’un montant de 500 €. Les candidats concernés peuvent effectuer leur demande en ligne sur le portail etudiant.gouv.fr à compter du 8 juillet 2024.
Après la demande en ligne, le dossier sera traité une fois que l'inscription administrative réalisée dans l'établissement. Les premiers versements seront effectués au début du mois de septembre.
Permis de conduire : les aides et solutions pour les jeunes et les étudiants
L’obtention du permis de conduire représente une étape importante vers l’autonomie, mais son coût peut constituer un frein pour de nombreux jeunes. Plusieurs dispositifs d’aide au financement existent, qu’ils soient d’origine publique ou proposée par des structures privées. Les principales aides disponibles Voici une sélection des aides les plus courantes destinées aux jeunes et aux étudiants : Aide au permis B pour les apprentis (500 € sous conditions), Aide régionale ou départementale, variable selon le territoire, Permis à 1 € par jour, un prêt à taux zéro pour les 15-25 ans, Bourses communales ou du Centre communal d’action sociale (CCAS), Aide du Pôle emploi, dans le cadre d’un projet professionnel validé, Dispositif Mobili-Jeune, pour les jeunes en formation alternée. Chaque aide possède ses propres conditions d’attribution (âge, situation professionnelle ou scolaire, ressources…). Il est recommandé de se renseigner directement auprès des organismes concernés. Réduire les coûts liés au permis et à la voiture Au-delà du financement du permis, il existe plusieurs leviers pour limiter les dépenses liées à l’acquisition et à l’usage d’un véhicule : Choisir un modèle économique, comme une petite citadine, permet de réduire les coûts d’assurance et de carburant, Comparer les assurances auto, afin de trouver un contrat adapté à un profil jeune conducteur, Profiter de dispositifs comme la prime à la conversion ou le bonus écologique, lors de l’achat d’un véhicule peu polluant, Pour ceux qui envisagent d’acquérir une BMW Serie 1 par exemple, il est possible de bénéficier d’offres intéressantes sur le marché de l’occasion, tout en maîtrisant son budget. Mobili-Jeunes
Pour les alternants, Action Logement propose Mobili-Jeunes, une subvention permettant de prendre en charge une partie du loyer (entre 10 € et 100 € maximum) chaque mois et pendant deux ans maximum.
Elle s'adresse aux jeunes de moins de 30 ans, en formation en alternance (sous contrat d'apprentissage ou de professionnalisation) au sein d'une entreprise du secteur privé non agricole.

Les aides au logements
Pour vous aider à payer votre loyer et vos charges, vous pouvez bénéficier d'aides au logement (APL, ALS, ALF), versées par la Caisse d'allocations familiales (Caf). Elles sont accessibles pour les résidences Crous, les résidences étudiantes privées et les logements individuels ou en colocation du parc privé.
Ces démarches sont à faire en priorité dès votre entrée dans le logement. Dès votre entrée dans le logement, ne tardez pas à envoyer votre dossier, les aides au logement de la Caf ne sont pas rétroactives. Le premier mois est un mois de carence, votre premier loyer ne sera pas couvert pas ces aides.
Pour établir votre budget, faites une simulation de l'aide au logement à laquelle vous pourriez avoir droit. Une fois votre demande d'aide effectuée, vous pourrez suivre le traitement de votre dossier à l'aide de l'application Caf (iOS / Android)
Attention ! Votre Caf vous demandera en fin d'année universitaire - via votre espace personnel en ligne Caf - si vous conservez votre logement en juillet et en août. Si vous laissez votre logement ou en l'absence de réponse, votre droit sera interrompu.

- FSL - Fonds de solidarité pour le logement
Le Fonds de Solidarité pour le Logement fait partie des aides au logement de la CAF. Il est destiné aux personnes ayant des difficultés financières pour accéder à un logement, ou pour s’y maintenir. Cette aide se formalise via des prêts ou des subventions. Elle peut financer les dépenses de dépôt de garantie, du premier loyer, l’assurance, les frais de déménagement, les dettes, les charges et factures. Le montant délivré par le FSL varie en fonction du département.
L’aide ne prend pas en compte les ressources d’aide au logement, les allocations de rentrée scolaire et les allocations d’éducation pour un enfant en situation de handicap.

University restaurants and cafeterias are part of the Crous. Practical, fast and economical, university catering is within everyone's reach.
Cafeterias offer fast food with a wide choice of sandwiches, salads, pasta boxes, drinks and snacks, as well as breakfast formulas.
Payment methods
Izly and bank cards are the only means of payment in university restaurants and cafeterias. No cash payments.
Izly is the payment method used in university restaurants and cafeterias on the Aix-en-Provence, Marseille and Avignon campuses, as well as on all campuses in France. Student cards and cards issued by the Crous (students whose school does not issue a student card) are linked to a personal online account.
It is this online account that will be debited when you check out at the Resto U or cafeteria, on presentation of your card or smartphone.
University, IUT and engineering school students: Once you have registered with your university, you will receive an e-mail on your ENT to activate your Izly account. For other students, the Izly account activation e-mail is sent to your personal mailbox.
Reloading your Izly account
You can top up your Izly account by bank transfer, credit card or at Izly top-up terminals in university restaurants. If you have a problem with your card, you can download the Izly application, which will enable you to pay at the cash register using a QR code, and also recharge your account.
