Objectives of the Mastère Spécialisé® CVT

The Mastère Spécialisé® Créations Vidéo-Ludiques et Transmedia, a new BAC+6 training program unique in France, meets the specific needs of video game industry professionals and studios. Its aim is to train future graduates to integrate the mechanisms and challenges of these production strategies through the implementation of immersive and hybrid creative projects and augmented narration. The use and appropriation of new technologies in production practices will enable learners to envisage video games and transmedia via interactive and participative digital extensions, and to access positions of great responsibility in video game industry development studios, both in France and abroad.

Theone-year program can be taken as an initial training course, as part of a work-study program (Contrats de Professionnalisation) or as part of a continuing education program.

The Specialized Master's program is accredited by the CGE.

The Mastère Spécialisé® CVT is a professional training program designed to develop the personal and professional skills needed to become an engineer or project manager: autonomy, adaptability, scalability, integration skills and teamwork. Activities related to the profession are :

Targeted skills

  • Facilitate teamwork and communication between the various departments.
  • Ensure that objectives (deadlines, budget, quality) are met.
  • Understand the business and workflow of the teams.
  • Develop and maintain game engine technology (graphics engine, sound, physics, network, etc.) and the corresponding production pipeline.
  • Program game mechanics and player interactions.
  • Develop and maintain software tools to create game content, accelerate production or automate tasks.
  • Develop and maintain the game engine's Artificial Intelligence systems.
  • Develop the visual aspects of the graphics project (lighting, special effects or movement).
  • Design backgrounds, objects (dynamic, non-dynamic), scenes and 3D characters, in line with the artistic direction and engine constraints.
  • Supervise the integration of graphic data into the game engine.
