Polytech Marseille trains engineers in 9 high-tech specialties. Three engineering specialties are offered as apprenticeships (3-year contracts).
It should be noted that in the other specialties, work-study is also possible in the final year of the engineering cycle: this can be carried out under a professionalization contract.

The student-engineer signs a three-year apprenticeship contract. Training is divided into long periods between the company and the school. These are spread over several weeks, allowing for the geographical distance between the company and the school.
Training is organized around :
- Generic engineering skills based on scientific and technical knowledge, project management and the ability to adapt to business and society.
- Skills specific to one of the chosen specialties. These skills are assessed jointly by the school and the company.
Over the course of the three-year training program, the apprentice will have the opportunity to take part in 12 weeks of international mobility (compulsory) during the in-company periods.
