Getting around

There are many ways to get around. It's up to you to choose what best suits your needs:

  • Car-sharing: AMU has launched an experimental car-sharing scheme for campus users. This scheme offers you the chance to find a car to suit you, or to be a driver! You can test KLAXIT. However, other, better-known applications are also available, such as Blablacar.
  • Car-sharing: Car-sharing is a network of self-service cars made available to its members. This system offers a number of services and is perfectly suited to the occasional driver, living in city centers and mostly using public transport or walking.
  • Public transport: The city offers a wide range of transport options. Find out all you need to know about Marseille's RTM network and take advantage of preferential student fares.
  • Cycling: Whether you have a bike or not, you can get around on two wheels, electric or otherwise. Find out about all the options available to you:
  • By plane: If you want to travel abroad or visit your family, here are a few tips:
  • Train and bus :

Before you leave, and whatever means of transport you are going to use, we advise you to use price comparison services.

In the interests of the environment, we recommend that you use public or "soft" transport.

Entertainment

The Université Aix-Marseille organizes a wide range of cultural events, including concerts, film clubs and shows. Many are free or at preferential rates.

You can also find out about upcoming events on the Marseille city council website.

The Association Sortie d'Amphi lists all the good deals on student entertainment.

You can count on the BDE to liven up your weekends. The Bureau des élèves (BDE) is the school's most important association, at the heart of student life. It acts as a link between students, the school and companies. The BDE website lists all the places to go when you're a student in Marseille, and much more besides!
